Project Description
A preliminary economic assessment (PEA) has demonstrated the strong potential of the project.

The project envisages an operation with a nine-year life-of-mine, producing 245 000 t of high-purity electrolytic manganese metal.

The PEA proposes traditional truck-and-shovel mining methods. The proposed process for the production of electrolytic manganese metal includes comminution, leaching, solid/liquid separation and solvent extraction, as well as electrowinning and refining.

Latest Developments
Giyani Metals Corporation has started with an infill drill programme at the K.Hill manganese project to upgrade the current inferred mineral resource to indicated mineral resources.

The programme will comprise 90 holes for 2 700 m of reverse circulation drilling and nine holes for 250 m of diamond core drilling.

The company expects the Botswana Department of Environmental Affairs to approve a scoping and terms of reference on the project before the end of the year, which will help to inform a feasibility study.
