The project is a partnership between Climate Investor Two (CI2) – managed by Climate Fund Managers – Kelp Blue and the Namibia Infrastructure Development and Investment Fund (NIDIF), managed by Eos Capital.

Project Description
The project involves the commercial development of the world’s first large-scale kelp farm.

Potential Job Creation
The project is expected to create employment opportunities in coastal communities and con­tribute to economic growth in outlying areas.

Capital Expenditure
The project involves an investment of about $60-million over five years, which will be funded by international and local Namibian sources through CI2 and NIDIF, pending investment approvals.
