The development is a joint partnership between Liberty Group and Tuscaloosa, which will co-own the property and oper-ate as landlords of the healthcare facility.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of a new state-of-the-art healthcare facility, which will comprise a 100-bed, 10 000 m2 hospital at the John Ross Eco Junction, in Richards Bay.

The hospital will primarily serve the areas including Richards Bay, Empangeni, KwaMbonambi and Mtunzini, around the greater uMhlathuze municipality.

R220-million.

Duration
Construction is expected to start in the third quarter of 2015, with completion expected at the end of 2016.

Liberty Property Portfolio has concluded a 20-year lease agreement with wholly black-owned private hospital group Melomed Richards Bay Proprietary Limited.
