Swaziland-based Inyatsi Construction has been awarded a tender to upgrade the potable water supply in Siphofaneni, Somtongo and Matsangeni, in Swaziland.

“Ensuring the supply of potable water for communities all over Africa is one of the ways to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2030,” says Inyatsi Construction Swaziland chairperson Frans Pienaar.

The MDGs is an initiative by the United Nations to fight poverty and other social pandemics that affect human beings holistically.

Owing to this, Pienaar adds that the company is proud to have won the tender to contribute to the infrastructure in Swaziland as a means to contribute to the initiative.

Having completed many large civil construction projects in Swaziland prior to the water supply tender, the company has made a large contribution to growing the infrastructure in Swaziland.

Moreover, as a result of its expansion into new markets, growth and diversification, Inyatsi Construction has regional subsidiaries across Africa to ensure that it meets the needs of the continent.

As a result, the company has operations in Swaziland, South Africa, Zambia and Mozambique, as well as registered companies in Botswana and Namibia to ensure its service to the entire continent.

Pienaar also told Engineering News earlier this year that Inyatsi Construction Group is set on securing more than R5-billion, in line with its growth path strategy.

This is after he indicated that South Africa will play a key role in ensuring that this goal is reached, as the country has the capacity to trigger the desired growth.

Pienaar notes that gaining the experience in diverse markets will prompt further growth of the company. Also, envisioning being listed on one of the well-recognised stock exchanges, such as the JSE, is one of the company’s growth expansion plans, which he believes will ensure that the company becomes a multibillion-rand company and gains exposure to a variety of industries.
