The project will widen the San Diego freeway (I-405) between State Route 73 (SR-73) and Interstate 605 (I-605) in Orange County, California, in the US.

Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), in partnership with Caltrans.
Project Description
The project will focus on improvements of about 26 km of the I-405, adding one regular lane in each direction and improving freeway entrances, exits and bridges. It will also construct the 405 express lanes, which will enable solo drivers to accelerate their commute for a toll fee, while carpoolers may use the lanes free of charge.
