Project Description
Innogy Nordsee comprises three wind farms off the island of Juist, in the German North Sea.

The wind farm’s construction field covers 100 km2. The permits allow for up to 162 wind turbines, with an installed capacity of about 1 000 MW, to be built in this area.

Innogy Nordsee 1, which has been renamed Nordsee One, the first of the three wind farms, will consist of 54 wind turbines, Innogy Nordsee 2 of 48 wind turbines and Innogy Nordsee 3 of 60 wind turbines.

Value
The total investment for all the stages is estimated at €3-billion.

Duration
A final decision to invest into the construction of Nordsee One is expected in the beginning of 2014, with construction expected to begin in 2015.

Latest Developments
RWE Innogy has received the permits for the Innogy Nordsee offshore wind farms 2 and 3.

The German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency has approved the construction of 108 additional wind turbines, located about 40 km north of the island of Juist.
