PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Dual-listed junior Coventry Resources has declared an initial Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant resource at its Dogpaw gold deposit, which forms part of the greater Cameron gold camp, in Ontario.

The Dogpaw deposit was estimated to host an indicated resource of 259 000 t, grading 2.99 g/t for 24 900 oz of contained gold, as well as an inferred resource of 158 000 t, grading 2.71 g/t gold for 13 800 oz of contained gold.

The ASX- and TSX-listed company noted that the Dogpaw deposit was some 10 km from the flagship Cameron gold deposit, and immediately adjacent to an all-weather road that provided the main access to the project.

Coventry said that the addition of the resource at Dogpaw continued to validate the company’s success, as it furthered its strategy of advancing satellite deposits that were proximate to the Cameron gold deposit, with a view to providing additional feed to its proposed mining operation at the Cameron deposit.

As part of this strategy, Coventry plans to conduct further exploration drilling during the second quarter of 2013 to evaluate the other highly prospective gold zones within the West Cedartree gold project, which Coventry recently acquired from Houston Lake Mining.
