JSE-listed Imperial Holdings on Thursday announced that it had appointed Mark Lamberti CEO of the company with effect from March 1, following an extensive search by Imperial’s nominations committee.

Lamberti would replace current CEO Hubert Brody who resigned after more than six years at the helm. Brody would, however, remain on the board of Imperial as a nonexecutive director.

Consequently, Lamberti would, in due course, relinquish his current appointments on the boards of other listed companies, Imperial stated.

“We are confident that [Lamberti’s] experience, exceptional leadership skills and expertise will benefit Imperial and its stakeholders. The group is well positioned to continue executing its strategy,” chairperson Thulani Gcabashe commented.
