Project Description
HyP Murray Valley comprises a 10 MW electrolyser and will use renewable electricity to produce hydrogen.
The installation will allow for the blending of up to 10% renewable hydrogen into the existing natural gas network, owned by AGIG subsidiary Australian Gas Networks, to supply more than 40 000 existing residential, commercial and industrial customers in Wodonga, Victoria, and nearby Albury, in New South Wales.

The Australian government is providing a A$32.1-million grant for the project as part of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency Renewable Hydrogen Deployment Funding Round.
A number of development conditions have to be met and the project needs to achieve financial close before funding is released.
Planned Start/End Date
Hydrogen production is expected to start in 2023.
Latest Developments
Further planning and development work is required before a final investment decision is made, which is expected by no later than early 2022.
