Project Description
The project entails the construction of a new modular home care plant in Boksburg, Gauteng, adjacent to Unilever’s main distribution centre in South Africa.
The new factory, which will host new high-speed packing lines, will produce popular brands like Omo, Skip, Handy Andy, Domestos, Comfort and Sunlight, besides other products.
Innovative and green technologies will be installed to improve service levels to retail customers and create a low-energy, zero-waste and environmentally efficient plant.

R800-million.
Duration
Construction will start in the first half of 2013 and production is expected to start during 2014.
Latest Developments
In addition to the new factory, more than R200-million will be invested in upgrading and expanding Unilever’s existing plants.
