Project Description
TVA is proposing to build about 24 km of 161 kV transmission line. The line will extend from TVA’s existing Holly Springs–Miler 161 kV transmission line to the new substation, north of Ashland. The new line comprises new steel pole structures built beside the existing 46 kV line that currently serves the Ashland area. A combination of new and existing right of way will be used. The existing old wooden pole line will be removed once the new line is complete and can serve the new Ashland station.
