Project Description
The project involves the construction of new HDPE facility at Ineos’s Battleground Manufacturing Complex, in La Porte, Texas.
The new facility is designed to produce 470 000 t/y of bimodal HDPE using Innovene S process technology, licensed from Ineos Technologies.
The single-train facility will include new polymerisation, pelletisation and railcar load-out facilities, as well as upgrades to existing utilities and infrastructure.
Once completed, the HPDE facility will be one of the largest in the Americas.

Gemini HDPE has awarded KBR a contract to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the HDPE facility. Engineering and procurement services will be divided between KBR’s Houston operating centre and KBR’s Monterey engineering centre. KBR will provide direct hire construction, with selected subcontractors to build the new facility.
