Name and Location
Hejre gas platform project, Denmark.

Client
DONG Energy (60%) and Bayerngas Norge (40%).

Project Description
The Hejre project is located at a water depth of 70 m.

The proposed platform includes 11 500 t of topsides, supported by a 6 500 t jacket, and is designed to process high-pressure and high-temperature hydrocarbons fluids.

The platform, which also comprises living quarters to accommodate 70 people and a flare, will be capable of producing up to 76-million standard cubic feet a day of gas and 35 000 bbl/d of oil.

Through the project’s pipeline connection, the oil and gas will be transported on to the mainland.

To receive and store the oil arriving through the 90 km pipeline, DONG’s Fredericia terminal will undergo a $363-million upgrade.

Value
The partners are investing $1.6-billion in the development of Hejre.

Duration
The jacket and wellhead unit will be delivered in 2014, the topsides and living quarter in 2015. Completion is expected in 2015.

Latest Developments
The first tubular of the Hejre jacket was completed by Technip France in February.

Technip has subcontracted the construction work to the Heerema Fabrication Group, in the Netherlands.

The subcontract consists of an eight-leg launch jacket, with a length of 60 m, a width of 35 m and a height of 85 m. The contract also includes the piles and a predrilling wellhead deck.

The consortium Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME)-Technip will be responsible for the topsides, with fabrication to take place in Korea at the DSME yard.

Preparations for the fabrication of the 8 000 t jacket, piles and 500 t predrilling wellhead deck started in January at the Heerema Vlissingen yard.

The jacket, piles and predrilling wellhead deck are scheduled for completion and installation in the first half of 2014 and subsequent installation by sister division Heerema Marine Contractors. Drilling will begin thereafter, to be followed by the topsides installation in 2015.

Key Contracts and Suppliers
Technip France (engineering, procurement and construction) Heerema Vlissingen (procurement and fabrication of the Hejre jacket, piles and predrilling wellhead deck) and DSME-Technip(topsides).
