Project Description
The project involves the turnkey construction of the Guillermo Brown thermoelectric power plant, near the city of Bahia Blanca, in the province of Buenos Aires.
The core of the new power plant will comprise two gas turbines, which will have a collective electricity generating capacity of about 580 MW.

The contract is valued at $800-million.
Duration
Commissioning of the power plant is scheduled for 2015.

Siemens Energy has received an order from Fideicomiso Central Termoelectrica Guillermo Brown for the turnkey construction of the Guillermo Brown thermoelectric power plant.
Besides the turnkey construction of the plant, Siemens will deliver two SGT5-4000F gas turbines and two SGen5-1000A generators in a simple-cycle configuration.
In addition, Siemens is also delivering the infrastructure works at the port to offload fuel, high-voltage transmission lines, switchyard equipment and fuel pipe lines for the power plant.
