Project Description
The proposed project involves the construction of Switzerland’s biggest photovoltaic (PV) installation.
The project has the potential to become a showcase project for the energy transition with an impact beyond the country’s borders.
With a total installed capacity of 18 MW, Gondosolar will produce an estimated 23.3-million kilowatt-hours of electricity a year, which will support the demand of about 5 500 households a year.
The plan is to install 4 500 bifacial solar elements on an area of about 100 000 m2 above Gondo.
Each solar element comprises eight PV modules.
