JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Aim-listed Goldplat has installed and commissioned a new shotblast facility at its Gold Recovery Ghana (GRG) operations.

The shotblast facility represented a new business activity for GRG, which would provide for an additional revenue stream.

The procurement of suitable feed materials from third parties had already started.

In addition, Goldplat completed the installation of an on-site weighbridge at its Goldplat Recovery operation, in South Africa, bringing significant improvement to the control of material deliveries into the various treatment circuits and yielding modest operating cost savings.

"The team continues to complete capital projects on time, in accordance with our defined development strategy. I am particularly pleased that we have opened up a new revenue stream at GRG, which should positively impact revenue streams going forward as we remain focussed on expanding our recovery operations and capturing more of the value chain in-house,” CEO Gerard Kisbey-Green said.
