Golden Triangle Polymers Company, a joint venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical Company (51%) and QatarEnergy (49%).

Project Description
The project entails the construction of an integrated polymers facility and will include a 2.08-million-tonnes-a-year ethane cracker and two one-million-tonnes-a-year high-density polyethylene units. The project is targeting greenhouse-gas emissions that are about 25% lower than those of similar facilities in the US and Europe.

Potential Job Creation
The project is expected to create more than 500 full-time jobs and about 4 500 construction jobs.

Capital Expenditure
$8.5-billion.

Planned Start/End Date
The plant is expected to start operations in 2026.
