Name of the Mine
Gold Bar mine.

Location
Eureka County, in the US state of Nevada.

Mine Owner/s
Gold and silver producer McEwen Mining Inc.

Brief Description
The Gold Bar Mine is an openpit, heap-leach gold mining operation located in central Nevada. It includes multiple satellite deposits and processing facilities designed to extract and recover gold from oxide ores.

Brief History
The original Gold Bar deposit was discovered in the late 1980s, with production starting in 1987 under Atlas Precious Metals. The mine ceased operations in 1994 because of low gold prices. McEwen Mining acquired the property in 2016 and started construction on Gold Bar in November 2017. Operations were restarted in 2019 after completing a feasibility study and permitting process.

Primary Metals/Minerals
Gold.

Secondary Metals/Minerals
None stated.

Geology/Mineralisation
Gold Bar is a low-grade. Disseminated gold series of deposits with mineralisation close to the surface.

The mine is located within the Battle Mountain-Eureka mineral belt, a region known for Carlin-type gold mineralisation. Gold is predominantly found in structurally controlled oxide deposits within Devonian carbonate host rocks, including limestone and dolomite.

Reserves
Proven and probable reserves as at December 31, 2023, were estimated at 4.9-million tonnes grading 1.03 g/t gold.

Resources
Measured and indicated resources were estimated at 3.4-million tonnes grading 0.75 g/t gold as at December 31, 2023, with inferred resources estimated at 600 000 t grading 1.23 g/t gold.

Type of Mine
Openpit.

Mining Method
Conventional hard rock openpit mining methods. The mine is

Major Infrastructure/Equipment
The mine features a heap-leach pad, a carbon-in-column processing plant, a crushing circuit, and mine haul roads. The processing facility extracts gold from ore using cyanide leaching technology.

Prospects
McEwen Mining continues to explore near-mine deposits, such as Gold Bar South and other regional targets, to expand reserves and extend the mine’s life. The company is also evaluating operational improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
