Project Description
The project entails the construction of Tesla’s first large-scale plant outside the US. The factory is built on an 860 000 m2 site and will produce “affordable versions” of the Model 3 and its yet-to-be-unveiled Model Y crossover for customers in China.

Tesla’s initial target is to manufacture 250 000 cars a year, eventually ramping up to 500 000 cars a year.
