Project Description
The project involves the construction of one of the world’s most energy efficient thermal-generation plants after Municipal Light & Power’s 1970s vintage George M Sullivan power plant, in east Anchorage. The expansion involves the construction of a 120 MW, combined-cycle, natural-gas-fired power plant, which will comprise two combustion turbine generators and one steam unit.
