Project Description
The project involves the construction of the largest gas-powered plant ever installed in Mozambique, and the second-largest power plant running exclusively on gas engines to be installed on the African continent.
The plant will be powered by a total of 18 engines running on natural gas, with the gas fed from the Pande and Temane gasfields.
The project includes the construction of a substation and a gas pipeline.

The value of the power plant contract is €138-million.
Duration
The power plant is scheduled for completion in May 2014.
