Forge Academy & Labs, with Nokia, has been nominated for the ‘Changing Lives’ award by Africacom. The nomination is for the Africa Tech Festival Awards taking place on 9 November 2022 in Cape Town.

The Africa Tech Festival Awards celebrate innovators enabling transformation, inclusivity, and digital democracy across the African continent. In partnership with Nokia, Forge Academy & Labs received a nomination as one of the influential organisations contributing to building a more accessible and inclusive digital world.

“Congratulations to the team for being nominated only two years after our launch. It goes to show what can get done in a short period with the right partners, passionate team members and a heart to drive and witness true transformation. We have only just begun, and the future looks bright”, said COO Craig Clutty of Forge Academy & Labs.

Forge Academy & Labs was shortlisted for the award, and the opportunity for the public to vote is open, closing on 26 October 2022. A panel of judges will review the shortlisted candidates receiving the most votes and select the winners. Winners will be announced during the live reception and ceremony on Wednesday, 9 November 2022, at the Africa Tech Festival.
