FNB Public Sector Banking has been appointed as the official banking partner to the University of Johannesburg (UJ), effective from Wednesday, 01 June 2016. The banking partnership will see FNB providing full transactional banking services to the University.

This will include access to digital platforms, investment products, and innovative technology such as Slimline ATMs, FNB eWallet and SmartBox Devices. Nick Montso, Public Sector Banking at FNB says, “We are delighted to have been chosen as the preferred banking partner for the University of Johannesburg. At FNB we understand the banking requirements of higher learning institutions and are well positioned to provide UJ with comprehensive and innovative banking solutions that support sound financial management.”

The University of Johannesburg has over 49 000 students spread across its four campuses namely: Auckland Park Kingsway, Auckland Park Bunting Road, Doornfontein and the Soweto campus.

“UJ has earned a reputation for global excellence and is currently ranked amongst the top 4% of universities in the world, and among the top 1% of universities in the BRICS countries. Not only does the university prepare thousands of graduates for future employment opportunities, it also plays a huge role in uplifting the economy of South Africa. We are looking forward to be part of that journey and having a fruitful relationship,” concludes Montso.
