Project Description
The project involves the construction of a second FLNG facility for Petronas, with a capacity of 1.5-million tons a year in gasfields off the coast of Malaysia. The facility will be moored at the Rotan gasfield, in deep-water Block H, the coast of Sabah.

JGC Corporation, the leader of a consortium including Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), has received a contract from Petronas to build an FLNG plant.

The lump-sum turnkey contract calls for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning work for the FLNG plant. JGC will be responsible for the engineering and procurement of the LNG facilities and SHI will construct the hull and the modular facilities.
