JSE-listed Murry & Roberts Holdings has informed shareholders that the Gauteng Division of the High Court of South Africa has granted a final order for the liquidation of Murray & Roberts Holdings.

Theo van den Heever has been appointed provisional liquidator.

The company reminds shareholders that the final winding up order pertains solely to Murray & Roberts Holdings, the listed entity, and does not impact its downstream subsidiary Murray & Roberts Limited, which is a separate legal entity that is currently under business rescue.

The company notes that business rescue proceedings in respect of Murray & Roberts Limited remain ongoing.

The suspension of trading in the company’s shares, which took effect on November 22, 2024, remains in place.

The company says shareholders will be advised in due course of the proposed delisting of the company pursuant to the final winding up order.
