Expanding facilities help to grow market

A Johannesburg-based conveyor belt accessories company has recently boosted its service and repair facilities with the completion of a new spray-painting booth.

The company states that the expansion of its facilities has doubled its capacity to finish refurbished items.

The size and throughput capability of the spray booth was enhanced, allowing it to accommodate components up to a length of 2.2 m and to provide a more productive environment for operators.

The upgrade allows for all repair and finishing work to be spray-painted in-house, including work on longer diagonal belt cleaners, with the aim of improving turnaround time, quality control and cost to customer.

The spray booth is equipped with filtration technology that ensures compliance with health and safety standards. The technology filters fumes and chemicals before air is expelled from the building. A powerful fan unit enables an extraction capacity of 18 000 cubic metres an hour.

The spray painting booth is in use at MATO Products, a supplier of conveyor belt products and a member of the Multotec Group.
