TSX-listed Prophecy Development Corp has appointed Michael Doolin its COO and interim CEO with effect from April 1.

Doolin was the COO and interim CEO of Klondex Mines, prior to its takeover by Hecla Mining Company in July last year.

In his new role, Doolin will manage Prophecy’s worldwide operations and collaborate with Prophecy’s executive chairperson John Lee on investor marketing, fundraising and the company’s overall strategic direction.

Prophecy is advancing the Gibellini vanadium project, in Nevada, with the aim of being the first primary vanadium mine in the US. The company also has other projects in Mongolia and Bolivia.

The company also announced the resignation of Louis Dionne from the board of directors.
