Project Description
The project entails the construction of an additional cracking furnace to boost ethylene production at Saudi Kayan’s petrochemicals facility, in Jubail.
The project includes the installation of a decoking drum and a GAS dryer, as well as acquiring furnace technology.
The project will increase ethylene production by an estimated 93 000 t/y and its ethylene oxide capacity by 61 000 t/y.

Value
The project will cost about $94.5-million.

Duration
The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2017, with start-up expected in the fourth quarter of 2017.
