Epanko project, located within the Mahenge graphite project currently has an inferred mineral resource estimate of 14.9-million tonnes, grading 10.5% total graphitic carbon for 1.56-million tonnes of contained graphite, defined in accordance with the Joint Ore Reserves Committee Code. This initial estimate covers only 20% of the project area.

Latest Developments
Kibaran has started an environmental- and social-impact assessment (ESIA) for its Epanko graphite project. This follows the signing of a binding offtake agreement in December 2013.

The company has signed an agreement with an experienced Tanzanian environmental consultancy to register the project with the National Environmental Management Council (NEMC), which falls under Tanzania’s Ministry of Environment and the VP’s office.
