JSE-listed information and communications technology provider EOH has acquired turnkey rail automation and technology solutions provider Mehleketo Resourcing for an undisclosed sum.

EOH CEO Asher Bohbot noted that Mehleketo, which had a turnover of over R300-million and technology partnerships with major international rail automation technology original-equipment manufacturers and about 350 employees, would leverage EOH’s core strengths.

“Our industrial technology division, of which rail technology is part, is a major component of our growth strategy. This division’s services, which are critical for the infrastructure development required in South Africa and the rest of Africa, include services and solutions in energy, water, connectivity and transport and rail,” he added.

Mehleketo CEO David van der Merwe said EOH was a “great complementary fit” with its own portfolio and would enable it to better serve its clients with a more comprehensive set of integrated technology solutions, while enabling growth on the rest of the continent.
