This article has been supplied as a media statement and is not written by Creamer Media. It may be available only for a limited time on this website.

Creamer Media will, from January 2020, combine the Engineering News and Mining Weekly titles into a single, comprehensive weekly print magazine.

Instead of two weekly magazines, we will publish one weekly magazine called Creamer Media’s Engineering News & Mining Weekly.

This is our  response to changes in the magazine marketplace and evolving reader habits.  In recent surveys, readers have confirmed that they continue to value and trust Engineering News and Mining Weekly, but are finding it challenging to make time to read two separate publications.

The new-look Engineering News & Mining Weekly magazine will continue Creamer Media’s tradition of covering industry and mining news, and will include separate Engineering News and Mining Weekly Features each week.

Engineering News Online www.engineeringnews.co.za and Mining Weekly Online www.miningweekly.com will continue as separate digital platforms, including distinct websites, daily emails and apps.

Benefits of the combined magazine

For readers, the Engineering News & Mining Weekly magazine will be a convenient single source of the most important industrial and mining news each week.

For advertisers, the Engineering News & Mining Weekly magazine will mean that adverts are more visible to readers across both the industrial and mining sectors.

For subscribers, current magazine-only subscribers will be upgraded without charge to enjoy a print and online subscription, and current print and online subscribers will be upgraded without charge to enjoy access to the Creamer Media’s highly sought after Research Channel Africa web-portal, which provides intelligence on industry and mining in Africa.

Mining Weekly global newsletter to be launched

From January 2020, Creamer Media will also launch a new daily email newsletter, called the Mining Weekly Global Edition.  Each weekday afternoon this newsletter, which will be sent to tens of thousands of readers, will feature breaking news from various regions around the mining world.

Creamer Media remains highly appreciative of our readers’ and advertisers’ ongoing trust and loyalty.  We will do everything in our power to continue to deliver the kind of news and insight that is needed to build a more prosperous and inclusive economy in South Africa, Africa and globally.
