Engen celebrates Children’s Month through Football

Engen and their football partner Supersport United, in celebration of Children’s Month will be rolling out a number of community based Football programmes in support of selected beneficiaries.
In keeping with their commitment to the community that they serve, Engen and Supersport United FC kick off at 10h00 on Saturday, November 1 with a Supersport United Football Experience Coaching Clinic for a select number of local teams at the NY49 Sports Complex in Gugulethu, Cape Town.
The Supersport United Head Coach, Gordon Igesund and technical team members Alex Heredia and Serame Letsoaka will be in attendance. Also present will be a select group of Supersport United player’s; captain Clayton Daniels, Thabo September, Lerato Manzine, Andile Fikizolo and Roscoe Pietersen.
In further support of Children’s Month, Engen’s fundraising programme, the “Goals for Charity” initiative steps up a gear increasing in value from R2 000 to R4 000 per goal scored by Supersport United at home PSL games during the month of November.
Matsatsantsa are scheduled to play homes games against Orlando Pirates FC on Nov 23 and Amazulu FC Nov 26 and with coach Gordon Igesund’s results driven mentality, United are sure to be been firing on all cylinders, with 10 goals in their last four league games.
Because children matter, plans for the month of November include visits to Children’s Homes, coaching clinics and player appearances within identified communities.
