The project will run between Wagga Wagga, in New South Wales and Robertstown, in South Australia, with a connection to Red Cliffs, in Victoria, Australia.

Project Description
EnergyConnect involves the construction of a new 330 kV, 900-km-long transmission line, which will be above ground. It will allow for energy to be shared between New South Wales and South Australia, lower wholesale energy costs and support growth in renewable-energy generation.
Where required, supporting infrastructure along the proposed route will also be upgraded or established, including substations, access tracks and roads, as well as laydown/staging areas.
Potential Job Creation
The project will provide 800 regional jobs during construction and a 700 ongoing jobs.
Capital Expenditure
The project is expected to cost A$1.5-billion.
Planned Start/End Date
Construction on the project is scheduled to start in mid-2021 and be fully commissioned by 2023.
