Enditrade Logistic Terminal (ELT) development, Luanda, Angola.

Project description
The 20 733-m2 ELT facility will include the development of a logistics centre and a bonded ‘dry-port' facility, to help ease backlogs in Angola's major ports. Once developed, the ELT
will comprise a new 3 867-m2 office development and a 15 000-m2 bonded ‘dry-port' facility, which will initially focus on the requirements of the mining industry.

$9-million.

The project is scheduled to be completed and operational within nine months of construction starting.

Client
A new Angolan company has been established for the project, ELT Luanda, which will be owned by Lonrho plc (51%), Enditrade (30%) and Project Net (19%).

Latest developments
Project Net, an Angolan project development company, will project manage the development of the facility and arrange local commercial funding for the development. Lonrho plc will provide funds for the balance of the project cost not available from the local market.
Enditrade has obtained planning and customs authority for the development of the project.
