Project Description
The Edradour subsea development is located about 75 km north-west of the UK’s Shetland Islands, in water 300 m deep.
The project entails:
• the fabrication and installation of 12 inch production pipelines;
• a six-inch mono-ethylene glycol pipeline, complete with a two-inch piggy-backed services line;
• the supply and installation of steel tube umbilical;
• the fabrication and installation of pipeline-end manifold, flowline-end termination, flexible tails and rigid well tie-in spools, as well as the installation of templates and manifolds provided by Total; and
• rock dumping and precommissioning.

Latest Developments
Total has awarded Technip the contract for the Edradour subsea development.
Technip’s operating centre, in Norway, will execute the project, while vessels from the group fleet will perform the installation.
The pipelines will be fabricated at Technip’s spoolbase at Evanton, in the UK, and installed by the Deep Energy vessel – the fastest and one of the largest and most capable pipelaying vessels.
The umbilicals will be manufactured at the group’s facility in Newcastle, in the UK.
