The Dudgeon offshore wind project is located 32 km north of Cromer, in Norfolk, and will have an overall capacity of 402 MW, providing clean power for more than 410 000 UK households.

The value of the project, including a five-year service contract, is £500-million.

Installation will start in 2017.

Siemens Energy has been awarded the order for the Dudgeon wind farm. The company will manufacture, deliver, install and commission 67 direct-drive wind turbines, rated at 6 MW each and equipped with 154 m rotors.
