Project Description
The project involves two phases. In Phase 1, the existing combined heat and power plant will be modernised. This will include:
• the installation of two 4 MWe gas engines and two 52 MW/th heat-only boilers and auxiliary equipment;
• the rehabilitation of 6.53 km of the transmission network and 14.3 km of the distribution network; and
• the rehabilitation of 14 group heat substations.
Phase 2 will involve:
• the reconnection of public building consumers to the district heating plant; and
• the rehabilitation of the remaining 3.7 km of the distribution network and seven group-heat substations.
