DEHN’s BLITZDUCTOR® is a modular DIN rail TVSS for series insertion into low energy measurement and control circuits (typically twisted pair with or without a ground shield), which protects the components, controllers, PLCs and measuring instruments at either end of the circuit, against high energy transients.

The BLITZDUCTOR has a pluggable module which contains the SPD/TVSS circuitry, permitting the removal of this module to be accomplished without the use of tools or the interruption of the circuit due to a pair of bypass contacts. The new BLITZDUCTOR XT is available in both two and up to four wire modules in practically every bus system in use today. What makes the BLITZDUCTOR unique is the integrated LifeCheck radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology through which you can check the life of your module proactively without ever removing the module from your system. LifeCheck permanently controls the operating state of the arrester; maximum thermal or electrical loads are reliably detected and can be read in a second by the DEHNrecord LC test device with non-contact RFID technology.

device and the battery status are indicated via LEDs. The DEHNrecord LC M1+ is particularly useful in systemswith high requirements on availability,
for example in wind turbines, PV systems and water and wastewater systems.
