Deep-water drilling rig repair project, Namibia.

Project Description
The project involves the repair and upgrade of Transocean's Sedneth 701, moored at Walvis Bay, and aims to provide support services to the West African drilling rig, and ship repair and upgrade market.

Elgin RBG will deliver against an extensive survey and repair scope to the vessel and drilling systems, including ballast pipework replacement, hull repairs, steel, electrical and HVACR works, as well as more traditional painting and blasting.

Topside and subsea inspection of the rig will be handled by rope access technicians and divers respectively.

Value
The project is estimated at over $8-million.

Duration
The service agreement will see Elgin RBG working for Transocean over a three-year period.
