Decommission IT assets securely from anywhere

More organisations are facing the challenge of technology change with employees now working from home. Xperien has announced that organisations can now decommission their IT assets securely, without employees having to return the equipment to the office.
The IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) company works with existing Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to securely decommission old hardware and deliver the new without a strain on existing resources.
Xperien ITAD specialist Bridgette Vermaak this is now possible through a contactless transaction that will allow any enterprise to upgrade any employee while working from home. "Managing technology upgrades is a tedious task, even when most users are based in a central location. Imagine a thousand employees that need to be contacted for computer upgrades."
She says it is critical to protect proprietary data and it is imperative to maintain compliance even with users working remotely. "Xperien manages the swap-out arrangements and cost are kept to a minimum or potentially absorbed by us."
Xperien offers a tech upgrade program, providing a hassle-free nationwide collection, delivery or swap-out program with full reporting. It also provides remote data sanitisation, engaging with users, securely erasing all disk drives and providing a certificate of compliance with regulations.
IT disposal has legislative requirements, it is done in compliance to Protection of Personal Information Act 2013 (PoPI 2013), the National Environmental Waste Management Act 2008 (NEMWA 2008), the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
"Most importantly, there are no fees for services. When disposing of the old asset, we will defray cost of remote data sanitation and collection. The unforeseen expenses of working from home can be recovered from the residual value of the old equipment," she concludes.
