PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed junior Dacian Gold has announced a maiden mineral resource estimate for its Heffernans gold discovery, in Western Australia.

The company estimated a high-grade maiden mineral resource of 13.7-million tonnes, grading 1.4 g/t gold for 625 000 oz, along with a lower-grade resource of 6.7-million tonnes, grading 0.4 g/t gold for an additional 84 000 oz.

Dacian noted that some 70% of the 709 000 oz of maiden resource was classified as indicated, with 76% of the total mineral resource occurring within 200 m of surface.

Along with a mineral resource of 780 000 oz estimated for the Jupiter prospect, the greater Mt Morgans project was now estimated to host a mineral resource of 24.4-million tonnes, grading 2.6 g/t gold for 2.1-million ounces of gold.
