It is the year 1900. Somewhere in the countryside of the old eastern Transvaal, the burial of gold bullion has been hastily arranged, before the imminent battle between the Boer Republic fighters and the British Imperial troops.

When things don't go according to plan for two of the Boer commandos, tasked with the burials ordered by President Paul Kruger, it is the beginning of events that will have an impact on many people's lives - not only for those living at the time, but also in the lives of those who would follow decades later.
