The project is located in the Southern North Sea, in the UK.

Project Owner/s
The project is a joint venture (JV) between Independent Oil and Gas (IOG) and CalEnergy Resources.

Project Description
The Phase 1 field development plan comprises the development and production from the Southwark, Blythe and Elgood fields through five wells, with gas transported on shore through the Thames pipeline.

Phase 1 further includes a 6 km, 24 inch extension from the Thames pipeline to the Southwark platform; a 25 km, 12 inch line connecting the Blythe platform to the Thames pipeline; a 9 km, 6 inch pipeline and an umbilical connecting the Elgood field to the Blythe platform; and asso­ciated subsea structures and tie-ins.

Phase 2 will comprise the Nailsworth, Elland and Goddard fields.

Latest Developments
The JV partners awarded subsea, umbilicals, risers and flowlines contract to Subsea 7 in May 2020.

It incorporates project management, engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) activities for the subsea elements of Phase 1.

Meanwhile, the Southwark and Blythe line pipes have been manufactured and transported to the UK ahead of planned installation scheduled in the second half of 2020, and Subsea 7 is progressing detailed engineering work in support of this campaign.
