The Competition Commission on Monday announced that it had completed the task of filling all vacancies for the heads of its core divisions with the appointment of Hardin Ratshisusu as the divisional manager of its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) division.

“[The completion of this task] will allow us to focus on fulfilling our strategic priorities,” acting commissioner Tembinkosi Bonakele said.

Ratshisusu replaced Ibrahim Bah who left the commission in December last year.

Ratshisusu had worked for the commission for a cumulative period of over nine years, having joined the M&A division in 2004.

He previously held various positions within the commission, including many years as a merger analyst, and had also acted as the head of mergers on occasion.
