Company Announcement: SAITEX- Africa’s Biggest and Best Business Opportunities Expo
This article has been supplied.
The Southern African International Trade Exhibition has been bringing business opportunities to South Africans for 20 years. This year’s event will attract about 1 000 exhibiting companies from 54 countries around the world with one aim – to find business partners, agents, importers, distributors and retailers for many thousands of products in hundreds of categories. “It’s fitting that this year, our partner country for SAITEX is China; it has the second biggest economy in the world, and is the most prominent member of the BRICS bloc of developing economies, of which South Africa is a member, along with Brazil, Russia and India,” says John Thomson of show organiser Exhibition Management Services (EMS). Over 400 Chinese companies will be exhibiting at SAITEX, which takes place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, from 30 June to 2 July 2013.
“International trade is one of the easiest ways to get into business or to expand a business,” adds Thomson. “SAITEX is the ideal place to find that wildly popular item or a unique, unusual product that nobody’s got and everybody wants. It’s a yearly cornucopia of countless business opportunities for clever individuals out to spot those elusive gaps in the markets.” South Africa’s inclusion in BRICS has brought more traction to its trade activities with major export markets like Europe as well as BRICS member nations. “Being a part of BRICS gives a huge credibility boost to South Africa, and local business owners need to leverage that. What better place than SAITEX?”
Additional attractions at this year’s event include Import and Export Workshops, a Future of Trade Africa Conference and several business breakfast seminars.
