A high power battery pack for cordless drills, drivers, jigsaws and other battery-powered assembly tools is seen as an ideal power source for tools that require ergonomics, portability and ease of handling.

The compact design of the Li-HighPower battery pack with 4.0 Ah capacity makes it 20% lighter, weighing less than 600 g.

The battery pack is particularly suited to assembly work performed with cordless drills, drivers or jigsaws, where ease-of-use and light weight are key. It is said to deliver the performance and running time that was previously only possible with standard double-row battery packs.

When used with a cordless screwdriver, for example, it offers the same, fast screw-in time, but makes the screwdriver discernibly lighter and easier to use, due to its optimised centre of gravity.

In addition, integrated Bluetooth technology enables mobile dust extractors to be connected to the power tool or battery unit. The battery pack is also able to link to the Festool Work application. This allows live data, such as the battery's current charge level or the number of charge cycles, to be displayed.

Using advanced cell technology and high-current resistant rechargeable cells, battery pack promises the same performance figures as its larger 5.2 Ah counterpart with only slightly less running time. Although the latest generation lithium-ion cells are slightly larger than the standard cells previously used, they boast 30% greater performance and running time, allowing comparable performance to be achieved in half the size. In addition, five cells are used instead of ten cells and the cells are connected in series instead of two rows of cells in parallel, allowing for a more compact design.

Festool Li-HighPower compact batteries are covered within the scope of warranty, with free repairs of battery packs and chargers offered in the first three years.
