Commission recommends approval of Hudaco Training transactions with conditions

The Competition Commission has recommended that the Competition Tribunal approve the proposed transaction whereby Hudaco Training intends to acquire

the entire business of Insulation Advanced Technology (IAT), Isomec, Isotec Balancing and Moholi Supplies, with conditions.

To address competition concerns relating to an excessive restraint of trade period, the commission has recommended to the tribunal set conditions requiring the merging parties to shorten the duration of the restraint of trade period in the sale of business agreement prior to the implementation of the merger.

The commission says the proposed transaction does not raise significant public interest concerns.

Additionally, the commission has also approved the proposed transaction whereby Hudaco Training intends to acquire Flosolve, with conditions.

To address competition concerns relating to an excessive restraint of trade period, the commission says it has approved the merger subject to the imposition of conditions, requiring the merging parties to shorten the duration of the restraint of trade period in the sale of business agreement prior to the implementation of the merger.

It notes that he proposed transaction does not raise significant public interest concerns.
