Coca-Cola appoints new South Africa GM
Beverage giant Coca-Cola Africa has appointed Roger Gauntlett GM of its South Africa business.
Gauntlett will manage the company’s relationship with its bottling partner, Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa, ensuring alignment as well as sustainable and profitable growth for the beverage giant’s business in the country. South Africa is a key market for Coca-Cola Africa’s Southern and East African operations.
Gauntlett joined Coca-Cola Africa in 1999, performing a number of marketing roles of increasing responsibility from the Johannesburg office before being promoted to serve as Kenya MD and then Dubai MD.
He will return to South Africa from Ukraine, where he served as Coca-Cola Ukraine GM since 2014 and was in charge of the business relationship between the company and its bottling partner, Hellenic.
Coca-Cola Africa president Kelvin Balogun has said that Gauntlett’s rich and diverse experiences across various beverage categories will make him successful in his new role.
