Following hot on the heels of the successful generator give-away at the Northam Mining & Technical Exhibition (MTE) in Limpopo, one week later Chicago Pneumatic once again handed out a portable generator, this time to a lucky visitor of the Sibanye Gold MTE held in Gauteng on 17 May 2018.

Chicago Pneumatic has attained unrivalled success with the hand out of a generator at the past seven MTEs this year. “Our generator giveaways, which are handed out on a lucky draw basis, has proven to be a resounding success,” comments Eben van der Vyver, Business Development Manager, Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment in South Africa.

Attendees to the MTEs have the opportunity to view the Chicago Pneumatic CPPG5 (5.5Kva) petrol-driven portable generator which is second to none when it comes to high performance, reliable power delivery and safe operation over a long service life.

The exhibitions which have traversed through South Africa, Botswana and Zambia, have  provided the ideal platform for Chicago Pneumatic to expand its brand and product  footprint in the southern African mining sector. ”The MTE’s have provided an opportunity for Chicago Pneumatic to go beyond South Africa’s borders and gain exposure to untapped potential business opportunities in these regions,” adds Van der Vyver.

The Chicago Pneumatic stand was overwhelmed with visitors who were keen to view the CPPG5 portable generator that was on display and stopped to ask numerous questions about the unit.

Van der Vyver was joined by Pierre Benadie from Chicago Pneumatic distributor, Super Air, for the proud hand over of the generator to the lucky winner, Dirkus Jansen from Lesedi Truck, Sibanye Gold.

With six months remaining which will see the MTEs in the Northern Cape as well as in Zambia, the momentum of the generator giveaways is set to grow even stronger.

“Each MTE is a different and presents us with a learning experience for the company to understand the various needs of our customers and we look forward to meeting more existing and prospective customers at the upcoming MTEs,” concludes Van der Vyver.
