PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed junior Chesser Resources expects to deliver its prefeasibility study (PFS) for its Kestanelik gold project, in Turkey, by the second quarter of next year, following the completion of current infill and stepout drilling.

The junior has awarded a number of contracts for PFS work, including process engineering, mining engineering and tailing engineering.

“We are pleased to have assembled a strong group of service providers to work with us on the Kestanelik PFS. This will ensure that we will be able to design the highest value and lowest risk project for the benefit of Chesser shareholders,” said MD Rick Valenta.

He noted that the company also had a full complement of diamond and reverse circulation rigs on site, which would allow Chesser to further accelerate its drilling programme.

Chesser was currently conducting an infill and stepout drilling programme, having already completed some 3 000 m of drilling. The first results from the programme was due in early December.

The project currently has a total indicated and inferred resource of some 10.1-million tonnes grading 2.15 g/t gold, for 703 000 oz of contained gold.
